I keep meaning to get back over here and put up a quick "what's been happening in our life" post. But then life interferes and the day is over and time has managed to escape me yet again.
Our lease is up at the end of the month on our the rental property that we're living in. And since they are trying to sell the property, they are opting to not renew our lease. Without going in to the whole long story, there was talk of Leo taking a new position with his company, but in a different city. We had been putting off making a house decision until the eleventh hour until we had heard what was happening with the job.
As of now, nothing has come together on that front, so we're planning to find another rental house, assuming things move forward at some point with the new position. We'd rather deal with getting out of a lease than selling a house...again. We'll be moving at the end of the month. Um, what's that you say? Are you having a flashback to this time last year? Hey, glass half-full, people! It's another chance to re-organize and purge, right?! :)
So, my Mom is here this week and we're busy like beavers. Oh, and have I mentioned my husband has been on the road for two plus weeks for work? We're going through drawers and closets and boxes and sorting and storing and donating. Gosh, it sure feels good. This is the part of the moving process I actually enjoy. I know. I'm a weirdo.
In a nutshell, that's the story. Bear with me if I go MIA from time-to-time. It means the world to me that my bloggy friends check in on me. Thanks, sweet friends!
The adventure continues.

What an adventure! Praying for your journey! Glad your glass is half-full. I do love the purging and cleaning, too.
SO Totally getwhat you're saying on the purging and cleaning front. It's a bit tedious, but very satisfying! And the unsurenenss thing -- I feel that pain. I hope that whatever the job and home front holds, you guys find joy in it. I keep telling myself that even if I don't know what's going on, God does and He's got it all under control... Blessings, blessings, blessings -- and ((Hugs))!
Oh Kim... I wish I could come help you. I will be praying for you and your mom is a wizzz... I know you are in very capable hands. She will have everything organized. Keep us posted on what is happening.
Hey Kim, I'm glad you checked in. I was wondering about you. I can completly relate to what you are going through right now. We are moving also. Because of the water damage and the time and money it is going to cost the owners of our property decided to terminate our lease so that they can get the work done and sell the house. The good news is they refunded our April rent and aren't charging us for May. We have been packing and purging also. It does feel good but a lot of work. We haven't found another place yet but I have faith it will all work out. I will be thinking about you on our dual adventures!
It's nice to see you in positive spirits. Moving is a big pain in the booty. I thought we were heading back to NJ, but we ACTUALLY turned down the job and opted to stick it out in Little Rock for a bit longer. It's hard not knowing when the next move will be.
Take each day as it comes and do a lot of leaning on HIM ;)
Oh man. The chaos has got to be taking a toll. I knwo you are an optimist and will pull the whole family through this! Hang in there
OH My! I was talking about you just the other day. Tom got a flier about a place in Mississippi that is 20 minutes south of Memphis. I was like Go Go Go. Take me...Take me...Take me....Can I have a rent car to drive to Kim? :)
Who? Augh!!!! Bloggy Kim?! Oh, Yeah. She's in Memphis? YES! Duh! She's been there almost a year. Remember the move with the hampster? uhhh.... Anyway. He didn't think he needed to make the trip so I didn't get to go along and rent a car. :( Good luck on the sorting through and purging. Amazing what we can collect in a year isn't it? Check in when you can. I know how you feel. I try to get on and get something on then look at the clock and gotta run. Big Hugs.
Kim, this certainly does sound like an adventure! And I LOVE that you are facing it all with such a positive attitude. Good for you. Enjoy all the purging and organizing! :)
